At the Airport

General

Aeromexico uses a Health and Sanitization Management system to ensure appropriate levels of hygiene standards at all stages of travelling.

Face mask

It is compulsory to wear a surgical mask or a face mask (covering your nose, mouth and chin) at all times. Passengers must carry spare surgical masks or face masks since they should be replaced if wet or visibly dirty.

Check-in

Check in online for those flights in which this option is available.
Maintain the minimum physical distancing indicated by the signs.
The airline uses alternating check-in desks to provide space between queues
The check-in staff will only ask you to hand over your documentation if necessary.
All passengers temperatures are checked during the check-in procedure.

Boarding

Aeromexico is using a strictly back-to-front boarding system with one continuous line and no Priority Boarding procedures, meaning that Premium passengers will board the aircraft last.

Hand baggage

No restrictions are placed on taking hand luggage however Aeromexico recommends checking in larger items.
Lounges

Lounges

Aeromexico Salones Premier are now open to premium passengers, and partner Skyteam lounges are also offering departing passengers lounge facilities.
Temperatures are checked prior to entering the lounge. New signage and safety measures are in place including dispersed furniture to allow social distancing.
Family areas are designated for passengers travelling in groups.
Packaged snacks and individual beverages are now available
Face masks should be worn when not consuming food/ beverages.
Acrylic sheeting placed in reception areas with staff utilising appropriate PPE.
Shower/ spa facilities are also open to passengers.
Onboard the flight

Sanitiser

Appropriate hand sanitisation and mask disposal should be practised onboard and staff will advise appropriately. Hand sanitisation is offered upon boarding and international flight passengers will receive individual hand sanitizing packets.

In the cabin

Passengers should remain seated where necessary and moving around the cabin or loitering in galley areas is advised against.

Meals & beverages

Across both classes, individually packaged and sealing food and beverages are provided to passengers with a reduced service concept.
Cleaning

Onboard

Staff utilise full PPE onboard and will be conducting more regular checks and sanitisation of washrooms areas and aircraft touchpoints.
All Aeromexico aircraft use HEPA filtered which are guaranteed to eliminate 99,99% of microparticles within the cabin.
Arrivals

Deplaning

Deplaning is completed in a front-to-back system and is completed using a controlled system.

Entry requirements

Currently all entry to non-residents and citizens of Mexiuco is prohibited. Transfer passengers may stay within the secure areas of the airport but should have a confirmed onward ticket.
