At the Airport

Face mask

It is compulsory to wear a surgical mask or a face mask (covering your nose, mouth and chin) at all times.
Passengers must replace disposable masks every four hours to ensure effectiveness


Check in online for those flights in which this option is available and this can be done through the enhance Air Arabia app.
Maintain the minimum physical distancing indicated by the signs at respective airports.
Passengers are requested to arrive for check-in 3 hours in order to undergo enhanced checks
Sharjah airport has made steps to ensure social distancing stickers are clearly visible and screens are provided at service desks.


Pre-boarding is still available onboard dependant on passenger ticket tier.
Instructions will provided by staff and via signage during check-in to ensure appropriate distancing

Hand baggage

Standard restrictions apply to hand luggage and where possible to avoid handling, passengers are recommended to stow this underneath their seat.

Lounge information

The main pay-in lounge from Air Arabia’s hub at Sharjah is currently open and operating
Temperatures are checked prior to entering the lounge. New signage and safety measures are in place including dispersed furniture to allow social distancing.
Packaged snacks and individual beverages are now available
Face masks should be worn when not consuming food/ beverages.
Onboard the flight

Appropriate hand sanitisation and mask disposal should be practised onboard. Masks may be disposed of upon replacement in single use sanitary bags which the crew will provide more of where necessary.

COVID-19 cover

To provide assurance, free global COVID-19 cover for all passengers traveling on Air Arabia flights from Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
This cover is automatically included with the booking, no additional documents are required from customers and validity is for 31 days from the day of departure on the itinerary. It also includes medical expenses and quarantine costs.

In the cabin

Passengers should remain seated where necessary and moving around the cabin.

Meals & beverages

A pre-bookable Sky Cafe concept is still available for onboard catering. Currently onboard Duty Free sales are not being provided. Contactless payments are not yet possible onboard.

Onboard aircraft

Staff utilise full PPE onboard and will be conducting more regular checks and sanitisation of washrooms areas and aircraft touchpoints.
Since the COVID-19 outbreak, Air Arabia’s customer journey has been upgraded to include all safety measures that are in line with the highest international measures. Air Arabia’s entire fleet is fitted with HEPA cabin air filters


Deplaning is completed in a front-to-back system and is completed using a controlled system.

A number of Air Arabia destinations require a negative Covid-19 test prior to arrival and passengers should confirm this for individual countries.
