At the Airport

Face mask

The use of masks that cover the nose and mouth is obligatory for passengers aged 6 and over. Only surgical or upper protection masks without an exhalation valve are permitted.
They must be worn from the moment of access to the airport terminal with the necessary spare parts to be protected throughout the flight until leaving the terminal building at the destination airport.
Please ensure you have no Covid-19 symptoms before you go to the airport to begin your trip. Passengers who have symptoms may be denied access at the airport or boarding.

Ticketing

The company is offering unprecedented flexibility to its passengers, with measures to facilitate ticket changes and Vouchers offering.
However, if such alternatives are not acceptable, the passenger, provided that it is established by the legislation in force at the time, shall retain his/ her right to reimbursement

Check-in

Check in online for those flights in which this option is available or using the Air Europa App.
Passengers should not be accompanied by well wishers and relatives to the airport.
Maintain the minimum physical distancing indicated by the signs.

Hand baggage

No additional restrictions are placed on taking hand luggage however larger items should be checked in to reduce contact during the flight.

Boarding

Boarding is strictly controlled to ensure appropriate distancing and this is now completed in small groups to ensure a more controlled flow of passengers within the aircraft.

The Air Europa lounges within Spain are currently closed to all passengers.
Onboard the flight

Sanitiser

Appropriate hand sanitisation and mask disposal should be practised onboard and staff will advise appropriately.

Meals & beverages

Across both classes, individually packaged and sealing food and beverages are provided to passengers with a reduced service concept.
New "Economy"service whereby meals will be cooked at very high temperature levels during the flight before serving in sealed bags with bottled water. New "Business" service in which high contact items are also reduced.

Blankets

Each blanket is removed after each flight to be washed, dried and folded by industrial cleaning machines. The blankets are put back on the aircraft in a plastic bag, where they remain until delivered to the customer.

Newspapers

Air Europa has removed newspapers and magazines from our aircraft to reduce unnecessary contact points.
Cleaning

Onboard aircraft

Staff utilise full PPE onboard and will be conducting more regular checks and sanitisation of washrooms areas and aircraft touchpoints.
All Air Europa aircraft use HEPA filters which are guaranteed to eliminate 99,99% of microparticles within the cabin. Additional improvements in air quality are notable across the long haul 787 fleet.
Air Europa maintains extremely stringent aircraft cleaning protocols, but has increased the number of in-depth cleanings to disinfect the entire fleet with specific hospital-grade products that are perfectly suited to kill the coronavirus. Crews are equipped with masks and gloves and all aircraft have been provided with disinfectant wipes for use by both crew and passengers.
Arrivals

Deplaning

Deplaning is completed in a front-to-back system and is completed using a controlled system.

Entry information

The Air Europa website has clear guidance relating to arrival restrictions of countries covered in their route network and this is updated regularly.
Currently a number of citizens of listed countries may enter Spain without quarantining however they should complete a pre-arrival questionnaire using the appropriate app at Spain Travel Health website.
