Cleaning

Our aircraft

To reassure a comfortable and safe environment for our passengers on board, we manually and thoroughly disinfect areas where passengers frequently touch in the cabin, such as tables, armrests, seat TVs, controllers and lavatory door knobs (exceptions may apply when turnaround times become very limited).
Disinfecting for international flights will take place after every flight.
For Japan domestic flights, the cabin will be disinfected every night, and lavatories will be manually sanitized after each flight.
The aircraft absorbs a large amount of clean air from the sky, which allows for the cabin's entire air to be replaced in approximately three minutes.
The cabin air is filtered and circulated through high-performance filters which are also used in hospital operating rooms, ensuring high-quality clean air.
The cabin air is constantly flowing, from the ceiling to the floor. The air in the cabin does not stay stagnant. The above air circulation systems are being operated when on the ground as well.
In addition to ensuring air circulation in the cabin, ANA is working to minimize the risk of infection in the aircraft by altering the boarding and disembarking order, cabin attendants wearing masks and gloves, and asking customers to wear masks as well, with the aim to provide all our passengers with a safe in-flight environment.
