At the Airport

Face mask

You must wear a mask throughout Dubai International airport, during boarding, throughout your flight, and as you leave the aircraft.
There are exceptions for children under 6 years old and customers who have certain medical conditions.

Airport guidance

Get to the airport at least three hours before your flight so you have time for any extra health and safety checks.
Only people who are travelling can enter the airport, unless you have a disability and need assistance to travel.
Passengers pass through a thermal scanner that looks similar to the metal detectors at airport security.
All passengers get a complimentary travel hygiene kit containing gloves, a face mask, antibacterial wipes and a hand sanitiser.
Dubai check-in desks have been fitted with protective antimicrobial screens. And added spacing stickers on the floor to help everyone maintain a safe distance in the queue.

Boarding

Boarding the aircraft is in smaller groups from the last row to the first, and boarding gate areas are deep cleaned once everyone is on the flight.
Priority boarding continues to be offered

Hand Baggage

No additional restrictions are placed on hand baggage although limiting the weight and size of this is highly recommended.
Lounges

Our lounges

The Business Class Lounge on Concourse B at Dubai International airport is open for First Class, Business Class and eligible Emirates Skywards customers.
Other lounges in Dubai and around the world remain closed for the time being.
Everyone in the lounge must wear a face mask except while eating or drinking.
Chairs and tables are spaced further apart and are thoroughly sanitised after each use.
First Class customers can order from our contactless menu by scanning a QR code with their phone.
Shoe shine service and children’s area remain closed until further notice. The shower service is currently open.
Onboard the flight

Face mask

You must wear a mask throughout Dubai International airport, during boarding, throughout your flight, and as you leave the aircraft.
There are exceptions for children under 6 years old and customers who have certain medical conditions.

Service information

Staff will be wearing full personal protective equipment (PPE) as they welcome you on the flight.
There are modifications to the services experienced onboard all flights and a comprehensive breakdown of service/ product can be found at https://www.emirates.com/pt/english/help/covid-19/our-current-network-and-services/
The vast majority of flights have a comprehensive service which includes meals and drinks in all classes.

Passengers can expect modified services, enhanced cleaning and disinfecting, and ensuring everyone wears PPE.
Lavatories are frequently disinfected. And if the flight is longer than 1 hour 30 minutes, an extra member of the cabin crew is dedicated to cleaning the lavatories.
