At the Airport

Airport Guidance

Arrive at the airport with extra time before your departure.
When you check-in for your flight on the airline website or mobile app, you will be asked to accept a health acknowledgment declaration.
To help ensure the well-being of everyone onboard, a non-invasive temperature screening using a touchless thermometer will be taken at the gate for all passengers and crew.
Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher will not be able to board the plane.
If time allows, the airline will give customers the opportunity to rest before receiving a second check.
Signage and floor markers have been placed throughout the gate and ticket areas encouraging customers to maintain social distancing.

Hand luggage

Weight restrictions remain the same although passengers should be able to comfortably lift this overhead.

Boarding

At the gate, the boarding process has changed to load passengers from the back of the aircraft to the front. This helps to minimize “passing” contact with other passengers during the boarding process.
Frontier are currently installing plexiglass partitions at our ticket counters for the added safety of both employees and passengers.
Please wait until your group is called to board and keep the required minimum distance.
To reduce the risk of infection, hold the barcode of your boarding pass against the reader yourself instead of handing it to the boarding staff.
Onboard the flight

Face mask

Frontier requires both passengers and employees to wear a face covering over nose and mouth throughout the Frontier travel experience including at ticket counters, gate areas, baggage claim and onboard all flights.
The only exception is for children under the age of 2.
Face coverings must fit snugly over your nose and mouth and be secured under the chin. Open-chin triangle bandanas, face coverings containing vents and face shields are not acceptable as face-coverings.

Food & beverages

Passengers may bring their own snacks to avoid additional contact onboard.
A limited range of snacks and drinks is available to purchase onboard. Please use the option to pay cashless or have the necessary change ready.

Other items

Frontier crews are highly trained in handling ill and/or potentially infectious persons on an aircraft.
Frontier follows the recommendations set forth by the CDC for ‘Preventing Spread of Disease on Commercial Aircraft’ as well as adhering to our own stringent internal guidelines.
Antibacterial hand soap is added to the restrooms.
Cleaning

Our aircraft

To ensure your safety and comfort, Frontier aircraft go through regular disinfection procedures to kill infectious agents.
This helps to minimize the risks of spreading diseases. We do this by only using cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting products that have been deemed by the EPA to be effective against coronavirus.
Aircraft disinfection is performed in accordance with the Airbus Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM).
Touchpoints and surfaces are sprayed and cleaned with a disinfectant cleaner.
The daily cleaning process takes several hours to complete. Frontier has taken a variety of proactive measures with respect to COVID-19 including increased heavy cleaning of aircraft and increased supplies of cleaning and disinfection products on board.
Every night while our planes are positioned overnight, our Aircraft Appearance Team spends 4 to 6 hours thoroughly cleaning the aircraft’s interior from top to bottom using industry-recommended disinfectant.
Monthly enhanced deep cleaning of the entire aircraft utilizing an anti-microbial agent that reaches virtually every surface and forms a protective shield that continues to be effective against viruses for 30 days.
Arrivals

Deplaning

After landing, please wait until the airport gives permission to disembark. Please also keep sufficient distance when leaving the aircraft and in the airport.
Remember that masks should be worn until passengers are safely outside the airport terminal building.
