At the Airport

Face mask

Passengers are required to wear face coverings throughout the journey.
Passengers who are unable to tolerate a face covering, including children under six years old, are exempt from this requirement while onboard.

Airport guidance

Passengers are required to complete a health declaration form upon arrival at some destination. The airline advises Customers to complete the form before you travel to facilitate a smooth journey.
You can avoid queuing at airports by opting for Web Check-in
You are subject to temperature screening at different areas within airports. If you have symptoms such as fever and coughs, you will not be permitted to travel

To better allow for personal distancing, boarding procedures have been updated so guests board in small groups.
Please maintain at least 1 m^ social distance where possible in airport areas, especially when queuing for check-in and boarding process
Self-scan your boarding pass and show your travel document to the boarding agent.

If you need to dispose of your face coverings or other personal hygiene items, please follow instructions from crew members.

Food & beverages

To secure your safety in the air, HK has adjusted our meal services. A selection of snacks and beverages will remain available onboard.
Hot meal service on our flights will be suspended between 2 August and 31 October 2020, while a selection of snacks and drinks will remain available for purchase on board.
No outside food and beverage is allowed to be consumed on-board the aircraft. Ground staff may stop you from bringing such items onboard.


The airline will arrange seat spacing wherever possible to reduce contact
It is highly recommended to stay in the assigned or selected seats and reduce movements in the cabin, and avoid gathering at aisle, galley and toilet area

Arrivals guidance

When you land, please keep your face mask on until you have left the airport terminal.
All passengers arriving into Hong Kong will be required to undergo a medical test for COVID-19 prior to clearing immigration and baggage collection.
Passengers will be able to transit through Hong Kong if:
Their itinerary is contained in a single booking
They meet the entry requirements of their final destination
They have their baggage checked through to the final destination
They have been issued their onward boarding pass(es) from their origin
The connection time between flights is within 24 hours.
Mandatory health declarations, COVID-19 testing and quarantine for all arriving passengers.
On arrival, please follow requirements from local airport when maintaining social distancing and keeping your face coverings on when clearing immigration, customs and in baggage reclaim areas
