At the Airport

Face mask

It is strongly recommended that you wear a mask throughout your flight. You can also bring your own mask if you’d prefer.
You don’t need to wear a face mask if you’re under the age of 12 years or you’re affected by a relevant medical condition - including problems with their breathing, a serious skin condition on the face, a disability or a mental health condition.

Airport guidance

Contactless check-in (either online or via our mobile App) is recommended
Social distancing measures, to minimise crowding
Contactless scanning of boarding passes further reducing shared contact
Hand sanitising stations throughout the terminal and progressively installed at departure gates where feasible.

Hand luggage

The hand luggage remains in place however Jetstar strongly recommends passengers pack lightly, as staff will not be able to offer any assistance in the cabin.

Boarding

During boarding, check-in and on board Jetstar pay attention to the greatest possible distance. Please follow staff instructions.
A Fly Well pack will be provided containing a face mask and sanitising wipes ahead of boarding.
For flights between Australia and New Zealand and flights to and from Victoria, face masks are mandatory and must be worn at the boarding gate and for the duration of your flight. If departing Victoria, you should also be wearing a face mask before entering the airport terminal.
A touch-free boarding procedure is in place so each travelling passenger should have their passport/ ID and boarding pass ready to hold up and be scanned.
Onboard the flight

We would recommend that masks are kept on at all times, other than when eating and drinking.
