At the Airport

Airport guidance

Before booking your flight, be sure to secure approval to fly from your local authorities and know of travel requirements (quarantine) / restrictions imposed at your destination point.
Ensure you are healthy, and prepare for added safety and hygiene in mind - face masks, hand sanitisers/frequent hand washing and social distancing.
All passengers are required to sign a COVID-19 Declaration form which will carry their personal information as well as a declaration of the status of their health.
The online web check-in facility has been temporarily deactivated and passengers are required to report at the check-in counter for verification of their travel documents and to ensure compliance of all guidelines by authorities.
Check-in counters are open 3 hours before the scheduled departure of the flight.
Social distancing measures, to minimise crowding
Contactless scanning of boarding passes further reducing shared contact
Hand sanitising stations throughout the terminal and multiple temperature checks are in place.

Hand Luggage

The hand luggage limits remain in place however Malindo strongly recommends passengers pack lightly, as staff will not be able to offer any assistance in the cabin.

Boarding

During boarding, check-in and on board the airline pay attention to the greatest possible distance. Please follow staff instructions.
A touch-free boarding procedure is in place so each travelling passenger should have their passport/ ID and boarding pass ready to hold up and be scanned.
Lounges

Our lounges

Malindo affiliated lounges are currently under restricted operating conditions.
Only Plaza Premium First is available at KUL. All other lounges are closed including Plaza Premium Lounge.
Onboard the flight

Food & beverages

Passengers are required to pre-purchase Hot Meals from Malindo Air via the website (Manage Booking) or Call Centre at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure of the flight.
No Hot Meals are sold on board the flights.
Snacks, dry items, hot and cold beverages are sold on the flight. There is no change in the service procedure for Sales on Board.

Cabin service

During this period duty free sales have been suspended.
On all flights, the cabin is sprayed with disinfectant spray. This creates no harm to passengers.
All crew will wear gloves and masks.
Socially distanced seating arrangements applied where possible.
Cleaning

Our aircraft

Quality air filtration: The air conditioning systems of all Jetstar aircraft are already fitted with hospital-grade HEPA filters, which remove 99.9% of all particles including viruses.
Enhanced cleaning of aircraft with a disinfectant effective against Coronaviruses, with a focus on high contact areas – seats, seatbelts, overhead lockers, air vents and toilets
Arrivals

Deplaning

Upon arrival at your destination, stay in your seat and wait your turn to get off the aircraft.

Arrival guidance

All transit passengers are required to remain in airside areas of the airport.
Prior to your flight, the airline strongly recommends you to check the latest entry criteria of the country you are traveling to, to ensure you are able to travel.
This is also the case even if you are a citizen or resident of the country of destination, or if you are only transiting in this country (connecting flight).
