At the Airport

Face Mask

Please bring your own face mask and make sure you have enough masks for your journey. A mask should be replaced every 4 hours. Keep a hand sanitizer with you if you wish.

Hand luggage

One Duty Free bag per passenger as well as one single item of hand luggage. This should be light enough for passengers to lift themselves.

Boarding

To avoid queuing in the aisle and boarding bridge, boarding and deboarding will happen row by row.
Priority Boarding is currently offered.

Airport guidance

Passengers must submit a Health Declaration Form which is available during self-check-in and at the airport, in electronic and printed formats.
Agents will be available at the airport to provide any needed assistance with completing the form.
Passengers must report to the airport at least 3-4 hours before their flight.
In most cases, only passengers are allowed to enter the airport.
People assisting passengers with disabilities are allowed to enter the airport.
Passengers’ temperatures will be taken at all airports in Oman. Thermal screening will be conducted and measures will be taken to ensure social distancing.
To reduce interpersonal contact, online check-in, fast bag-drop and electronic boarding passes are available for passengers’ use.
Entry restrictions can change with little or no notice. It is essential to stay informed regarding the latest regulations before you fly. You can check entry restrictions on the airlines Travel Forms and Entry Requirements page or via the IATA website.
Protective panels are placed at the counters in our service points, in order to keep a safe service distance between our employees and you, and ensure the safety of everyone.
Lounges

Our lounges

The Oman Air lounge is ready to welcome you with limited capacity. Catering services have been modified to adapt to the current situation.
Onboard the flight

Face mask

For your well-being and those seated near you, a face covering is required during flight but you can remove it to eat or drink.

Food & beverages

A simplified service for food and beverage will be offered onboard and this may vary in comparison to the usual service and product. This is subject to change.
Pre-packaged catering for economy class
Premium class will receive a modified catering concept served from a single tray.

Service changes

Lavatories are frequently cleaned during the flight.
Non-essential items such as paper, magazines and hot towels are no longer available.
Cleaning

Our aircraft

Additional routines for aircraft cleaning and disinfection.
High-touch and public areas like tray tables, seat belt buckles, armrests, window shades, seatback screens, doors and overhead bin handles continue to be cleaned before every flight.
All aircraft have HEPA filters for unrivalled air quality onboard.
Arrivals

Deplaning

Upon landing, passengers will need to adhere to the disembarkation instructions as advised by the cabin crew and observe the health and safety measures set by the authorities at the country of destination.

Airport guidance

Masks must continue to be worn during the entire transfer process.
It is possible for some nationals with valid residence visas to return to Oman.
Anyone entering Oman must have a PCR test on arrival and self-isolate (see Entry requirements section)
You must have valid health insurance (covering coronavirus) to enter Oman
All land borders are closed. In exceptional circumstances, you may be able to get permission to cross the Oman/UAE border
