At the Airport

Face mask

Please bring your own face mask and make sure you have enough masks for your journey. A mask should be replaced every 4 hours. Keep a hand sanitizer with you if you wish.

Airport guidance

The airline strongly recommends checking in for your flight via the PIA website
PIA is gradually resuming regular flight operations, subject to approvals from foreign governments and authorities. A number of charter flights are also operating. All flights are subject to change.
Entry restrictions can change with little or no notice. It is essential to stay informed regarding the latest regulations before you fly. You can check entry restrictions on the airlines Travel Forms and Entry Requirements page or via the IATA website.
Please fill the passenger locator form requested by the authorities to contact you if necessary.

Hand luggage

Regular Free Baggage Allowance will be applicable, unless otherwise specified.


To avoid queuing in the aisle and boarding bridge, boarding and deboarding will happen row by row.
Priority Boarding is currently offered.

Our lounges

The PIA lounge is currently not operational.
Onboard the flight

Face mask

For your well-being and those seated near you, a face covering is required during flight but you can remove it to eat or drink.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and surgical face masks are required to be worn by our cabin crew and cockpit crew during the flight.

Cabin service

PIA requests you to follow our cabin crew’s instructions at all times.
Please occupy only those seats that are allocated to you, and try not to congregate/move about in the aircraft during the course of the flight.
Limited meal services will be available.

Our aircraft

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, PIA have adopted rigorous cleaning and meticulous disinfection procedures in our aircraft, as prescribed by Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority.
High-touch and public areas like tray tables, seat belt buckles, armrests, window shades, seatback screens, doors and overhead bin handles continue to be cleaned before every flight.
All aircraft have HEPA filters for unrivalled air quality onboard.


Upon landing, passengers will need to adhere to the disembarkation instructions as advised by the cabin crew and observe the health and safety measures set by the authorities at the country of destination.

Arrival guidance

Effective 5th October 2020, prior to travelling to Pakistan passengers must ensure the following requirements:
Countries of travel origin are divided into two categories based on COVID-19 risk assessment determined by Ministry of National Health Services:
The majority of countries must provide proof of negative RT-PCR test conducted not more than 96 hours before flight. (Children less than 12 years of age, disabled passengers, and international delegations are exempt from the test):
Download and install PASS TRACK app on smartphone, available on Google and Apple play stores, and add enter personal details.
Fill in the Secondary Exit Screening Form. ALL passengers are required to fill in this form, and hand it over to the Health Department Staff present at the airport upon arrival.
