At the Airport

Airport guidance

RJ recommend passengers check in online to reduce social interaction at the airport.
Passengers are requested to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours prior departure time.
New self-check in machines are being installed and more drop off baggage counters are being added.
Passengers must undergo all medical checks, including a mandatory thermal screening at check-in and/or embarkation, as per local authorities

Hand luggage

Carry-on baggage is not allowed for safety purposes; however, passengers are allowed to carry small personal belongings onboard (valuable items, electronics, and medication).
Everything else will be added to the free check-in allowance.


To avoid queuing in the aisle and boarding bridge, boarding and deboarding will happen row by row.
Priority Boarding is currently offered.

Our lounges

As for the Royal Jordanian Crown Lounge at Queen Alia International Airport, all dining is a la carte while physical distancing is observed with spaced-out seating and other measures.
Onboard the flight

Face mask

It is strictly required that passengers wear face masks during the flight.

Service changes

RJ are offering limited onboard services to reduce contact.
Blankets and pillows will not be available on board, so we advise our passengers to dress warm and arrive prepared.
Magazines and newspapers will not be available on board. However, our passengers can enjoy our digital in-flight entertainment systems.
Our crew has been trained to deal with suspected cases.
Lavatories on board will be sanitized more frequently during the flight.

Food & beverages

Offering pre packaged catering for economy class. As for our Crown class, we have designed our catering services in a way to reduce contact with crew.

Our aircraft

Our aircraft feature the most advanced air filtration systems that provide the most effective protection against infection. The industrial-size HEPA filters remove 99.97% of viral and bacterial contaminants from re-circulated air.
Enhancing disinfection, sanitation and deep cleaning on board before and after every flight.

Face mask

When you land, please keep your face mask on until you have left the airport terminal.


Upon landing, passengers will need to adhere to the disembarkation instructions as advised by the cabin crew and observe the health and safety measures set by the authorities at the country of destination.

Airport Guidance

Jordan’s international airport reopened to scheduled flights on 10 September. Passengers must register to travel on the Visit Jordan website and have PCR tests before departure, on arrival and during the period of self quarantine.
From 23 September, passengers arriving into Jordan are no longer subject to institutional quarantine, but will be required to complete self-isolation even if their PCR test result is negative.
There are currently limited flights operating to and from Jordan. All passengers arriving at Queen Alia Airport Jordan will need to follow instructions set out by the Government of Jordan.
