Airport guidance

Rwandair recommends that you book your tickets and check-in online, to enjoy a speedier journey through the terminal and minimize contact.
The airline encourages customers to arrive at the airport four hours prior to departure to allow sufficient time to go through the required health and safety screenings and depart on time.
A certificate of a negative SARS-CoV 2 Real Time-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) COVID-19 test performed within 120hrs of departure time from a certified laboratory is required by Airport Authority before departing, transiting or arriving in Rwanda. Other tests, such as Rapid Diagnostics Test (RDTs), are not accepted.
Only one other person is permitted to enter Kigali International Airport premises to drop a passenger to help prevent congestion in the departure zones.
New signage will help you observe physical distancing and visors have been placed at all passenger handling desks to protect you and our employees.
Surfaces at all touchpoints are disinfected regularly to ensure optimal hygiene in all customer areas.
Hand sanitizer dispensers are easily accessible throughout your journey at the airport.

All our aircraft are fitted with high-efficiency particulate absorbing (HEPA) filters that remove over 99% of germs. The cabin air system ensures fresh air flow from the ceiling to the floor to ensure the highest standards of hygiene in the cabin.
Meanwhile the dedicated crew members including pilots, cabin crew, engineers and customer service agents have undergone new health and safety training ahead of RwandAir’s return to service.
