At the Airport

Airport guidance

Some countries will ask you to fill out a Passenger Locator Form.
You’ll also need to consider how many face masks to pack and be ready for a cash-free holiday.
Help keep contact with staff to a minimum, TUI be asking you to check in online or through the TUI App.
For TUI flights, check-in opens 24 hours before your flight due to take off.
Some airports will ask you to wear a face mask. They could check your temperature, too.
If you’ve got luggage to put in the hold, the bag drop will be self-service where possible.
You might find that some restaurants, bars and shops are closed.
Leave with plenty of extra time – it could take a little longer to go through security and to board the plane.
Make sure you check the website for the UK airport you’re travelling from before you set off, to find out what other measures might be in place.

Hand luggage

Passengers should pack their hand luggage lightly to reduce activity within the aisles of the aircraft.
Cabin crew will not be able to assist with hand luggage.

Boarding

You might be asked to scan your own passport and boarding pass, to minimise contact with staff.
For flights where you need to catch a bus from the terminal to the aircraft, TUI is making more vehicles available, to allow for social distancing.
Buses will be deep-cleaned between journeys.
TUI invites people to board in small groups and will encourage you to make a note of your seat number, so TUI can get you seated as quickly as possible.

Lounge availability should be confirmed with individual lounge providers and may be subject to disruption.
Onboard the flight

Face mask

Everyone over the age of six years old needs to wear a face mask during their flight, including while sleeping.

Cabin Service

A selection of food and drink will be available, as well as duty-free goods on applicable flights, and TUI increased the availability of contactless payment.
TUI asks you to stay in your seat as much as possible, and will guide you off the plane row by row, to minimise contact with others.
You can select your seats through our Flight Extras website up to 90 days before departure.

Long haul

Two complimentary meals and two drinks services are included with your flight – the menu can vary depending on the time of day and which airport you're flying to.
You’ll get a bottle of water, a blanket and headphones on board, and will have full access to our inflight entertainment system.
Hot drinks will be available with your first meal service.
TUI is not currently able to offer kids’ activity packs on board.

Premium

All Premium passengers will be given a bottle of water, a blanket, premium headphones and an amenity kit on board.
You’ll also have full access to our inflight entertainment system.
Two premium complimentary meals and two premium drinks services are included with your flight
During mealtimes, you can opt for a hot drink in a paper cup with a lid.
TUI is not currently able to offer a welcome drink, menu card or hot towels.
Cleaning

Our aircraft

All our aircraft are fitted with state-of-the-art ventilation and filtration systems to clean the air and flow fresh air through the cabin every few minutes.
TUI also takes lots of measures to keep you safe, from deep-cleaning to keeping movement around the cabin to a minimum.
Strict compliance with the hygiene and routine cleaning protocols of our aircraft before each departure, as well as work spaces.
TUI Airlines use HEPA filters (High Efficiency Particulate Air) identical to those used in operating rooms.
Arrivals

Deplaning

After arriving at their destination, passengers should wait until those in the row in front of them have disembarked. All guests please remain seated until it is their turn to disembark.
TUI Airlines will guide you off the plane row by row, to minimise contact with others.
You should keep your mask on as you leave the plane and make your way through the airport.

Arrival guidance

Given the current exceptional situation (COVID-19), extended entry requirements also apply to travel within Europe. Before travelling to the airport, please research the entry documents required and the requirements that apply at your destination in detail.
Please be aware that you may be subject to randomised COVID-19 testing on arrival at your destination, which will be determined and carried out by local authorities.
