At the Airport

Face mask

Remember to wear a face covering during the entire trip and avoid touching your face. Homemade, surgical, or valve masks are not recommended for travel.

Airport guidance

Get to the airport earlier than usual so you have time for any extra health and safety checks.
Viva Aerobus are taking all the precautions and recommendations made by the World Health Organization (WHO), Secretary (Ministry) of Health (SS) and the Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC).
When checking in, Viva Aerobus invite all our passengers to join our Health Commitment, to keep safe and healthy conditions on each of our flights by following basic measures, such as hand washing, and calling not to travel if having symptoms related to COVID-19.
Bring hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes to keep your hands clean.
Per government policy, each passenger must provide the questionnaire, “Risk Factors in Travelers” on the day of your trip, either in digital or printed format.
Remember that online check-in for Basic and Smart is available 10 days before your flight and up to 70 minutes before your scheduled departure.

Hand luggage

No additional restrictions are placed on hand baggage although limiting the weight and size of this is highly recommended.
The airline recommends using priority boarding. If you are not checking a bag you can increase the allowed weight of your carry on, up to 33 pounds.

Cleaning

Our aircraft

Viva Aerobus have the most modern fleet of aircrafts which have HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters to reduce the spread of pathogens through recirculated air. These filters extract more than 99.99% of fungus, bacteria and viruses, no matter how small they may be, including coronavirus.
Our entire fleet is constantly disinfected and sanitized with additional cleaning procedures and chemical products approved by Mexican and international authorities, which help stop the transmission of diseases such as COVID-19.
As part of this process, to improve ventilation, aircraft doors remain open while on the ground.
Arrivals

Deplaning

Leave your seat free of trash and debris for the next passenger.
Viva Aerobus have implemented a new process to disembark our planes by rows, which allows us to maintain safe distance between passengers, avoid disturbances on the jetways, and ensure safety protocols during your trip
