At the Airport

Face mask

All passengers and crew must wear face masks covering their nose and mouth. You will have to wear the mask throughout the entire flight, as well as in the airport terminals.

Airport guidance

In order to avoid queues, it is better to check in online, as most airlines offer this option. That way you will be able to bring your boarding passes from home.
You won’t have to queue up at check-in desks; but even if you have to check in your luggage, it is still the faster option.
If you’re travelling with Vueling, you should download the app (available for Android and iOS).
It may take longer to get through security and board the plane, due to stricter safety measures, so Vueling Airlines advise you to go to the airport in good time – up to 90 minutes before departure.
Vueling has also introduced a new queueing system for check-in and at all the customer service points to ensure the necessary social distancing.
As an extra measure, our check-in desks have been fitted with protective screens.

Hand luggage

Following government guidelines, on flights operated by Vueling you are only allowed a small bag or briefcase that fits under the seat in front (35x20x20 cm).
If you want to bring hand luggage (max 10 kg and 55x40x20 cm) you can drop it at the desks free of charge.
This affects passengers in boarding groups 2 and 3, that is, those who don’t have a connecting flight or who have not paid for Priority Boarding.
This measure has been put in place to protect crew as much as possible and minimise contact with luggage.

Boarding

All passengers and crew must wear face masks covering their nose and mouth. You will have to wear the mask throughout the entire flight, as well as in the airport terminals.
You won’t be able to board the plane without a mask or if you have symptoms that could be linked to COVID-19.
To ensure the necessary social distancing, Vueling Airlines have introduced a new queueing system for passengers waiting to board. The airline also put up new signs at the gates and on the air bridges to make the boarding process as clear as possible.
To supplement these measures, Vueling Airlines have increased the number of buses, when required to take passengers to the plane, to ensure correct social distancing on every journey.
Onboard the flight

Face mask

All passengers and crew must wear face masks covering their nose and mouth. You will have to wear the mask throughout the entire flight, as well as in the airport terminals.
Cabin crew use approved face masks, and they all also have hand sanitiser for their personal use.

Cabin service

Cabin crew have received training in the new health and safety protocols recommended by the Spanish Aviation Safety Agency (AESA) and the World Health Organisation (WHO).
The in-flight food & drinks service and shop are back.
So you can enjoy a drink or snack during the flight, or even buy something for yourself or as a gift. All with the strictest hygiene measures.
A menu card is available for you online, to download via QR code on board or via a recyclable single-use menu from our crew.
Vueling Airlines accept credit/debit card payments only.

Sanitiser

When boarding, disinfectant wipes are provided for all customers along with a bag for safe waste disposal.
Cleaning

Our aircraft

Vueling has reinforced the interior cleaning of planes by increasing the frequency and using the products specified by the safety agency, AESA.
Planes are cleaned thoroughly every day and a special treatment is applied to surfaces such as armrests, folding tables, overhead baggage compartments, toilets and crew areas.
The cabins are also disinfected on a daily basis using the AESA-approved antiviral spray.
The atmosphere generated in a plane is one of the safest, almost on a par with a hospital operating theatre.
Our filters change the air every three minutes, purifying it and mixing it with fresh air from outside.
Arrivals

Deplaning

Upon arrival at your destination, stay in your seat and wait your turn to get off the aircraft.

Arrival guidance

Before you continue to baggage claim belts, at the arrival airport there may be other temperature checks and health questionnaires collections.
Once you have your bags, please go directly to the nearest airport exit.
European borders opened on 22 June 2020 and you can travel to all EU countries. There may still be some restrictions in place, though, which you must take into account before you travel.
