Hainan Airlines is awarded the 5-Star Airline Rating for the thirteenth consecutive year
Hainan Airlines has been awarded with the highest 5-Star Airline Rating by international air transport rating agency, Skytrax, with this 2024 Certification presented at a gala awards event held on 24th June 2024 at the iconic Fairmont Windsor Park.
Hainan Airlines is just one of 10 international airlines that currently hold the exclusive 5-Star Airline Rating, and 2024 is the thirteenth consecutive year that the airline has achieved this accolade.

A 5-Star Airline rating has always placed great importance on all aspects of onboard and airport cleanliness and presentation, and Hainan Airlines is meeting a very strong 5-Star standard in these areas. In 2024, Hainan Airlines was ranked No 7 in the world for Airline Cleanliness standards. There is a very good consistency of onboard cleaning standards and these high standards are well applied across the many network airports for Hainan Airlines.
Hainan Airlines staff at its home base airport and onboard flights were noted to be achieving a very high quality of service and hospitality to customers, and this is delivered to excellent standards of consistency. In the 2024 World Airline Awards, Hainan Airlines cabin crew were ranked 6th best in the world, out of more than 350 airlines.

For the 2024 summer and autumn seasons, Hainan Airlines will operate nearly 500 domestic routes and over 40 international and regional routes, providing service to multiple cities across Europe, North America, Asia, Oceania, Africa, and beyond.

Hainan Airlines and InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) have partnered to introduce a new range of Chinese meals for Business Class passengers. The collaboration leverages the expertise of both companies in meal research, development, and in-flight catering. Additionally, Hainan Airlines has integrated Sofitel Hotels’ exclusive MyBed™ bedding experience into its Business Class. Hainan Airlines has enhanced its “Simplified Business” service, offering passengers greater convenience through self-service check-in, online check-in, and baggage tracking features. Moreover, the airline has launched its Pet Cabin Care service on select domestic flights departing from 23 cities. The service enables passengers to travel with their pets in the cabin, subject to certain restrictions.
