Korean Air is Certified as a 5-Star Airline for the 6th consecutive year
Korean Air has been Certified as 5-Star Airline for 2026 by SKYTRAX, the international air transport rating agency, following a comprehensive audit conducted from January 2026. This is the 6th consecutive year that Korean Air has achieved this highest quality accolade.
The airline retains its place in the exclusive group of 10 global airlines recognised for their excellent service standards and passenger experience.
The detailed evaluation covered all front line service points across the global operations of Korean Air. Airport services including items such as check-in, lounges, boarding, transfer and baggage handling, and a detailed assessment of cabin seating, dining, inflight amenities, entertainment and cabin crew performance was conducted in First, Business, and Economy Class across a variety of routes and aircraft types.
Korean Air seat standards across all travel classes provides a strong balance of space, comfort, and privacy, and cabin interiors were found to maintain consistent cleanliness and high presentation standards.
Onboard catering analysis evaluated meals noted for their quality, ingredient sourcing, and presentation in all classes of travel, with standards observed to be particularly good from the airline’s homebase in Seoul Incheon.
Staff service consistency was excellent in all travel cabins, and Korean Air crew maintain a strong ethos of hospitality, politeness, and efficiency in all of their service elements.
Korean Air has also recently unveiled the new flagship Incheon First and Prestige Class lounges at its hub airport of Seoul Incheon Airport, completing a multi-year overhaul.
