Top 10 Airlines by Global Region 2024
See which airlines have been voted the Top 10 Airlines by Global Region by customers, in the annual airline passenger satisfaction survey. View the results for Africa, Asia, Australia/Pacific, China, Europe, Middle East, Central Asia & CIS, India/South Asia, North America, South America, Central America/Caribbean, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Northern Europe and Southern Europe.
Ethiopian Airlines was named the Best Airline in Africa 2024. The Top 10 Best Airlines in Africa 2024 were Royal Air Maroc (2nd), South African Airways (3rd), Kenya Airways (4th), RwandAir (5th), Air Mauritius (6th), Egyptair (7th), Airlink (8th), LIFT (9th) and FlySafair (10th).

Singapore Airlines was voted the Best Airline in Asia 2024. The Top 10 Best Airlines in Asia 2024 were ANA All Nippon Airways (2nd), Cathay Pacific Airways (3rd), Japan Airlines (4th), EVA Air (5th), Korean Air (6th), Hainan Airlines (7th), Vistara (8th), Bangkok Airways (9th) and AirAsia (10th).
Fiji Airways won the award for the Best Airline in Australia/Pacific 2024. The Top 10 Best Airlines in Australia/Pacific 2024 were Air New Zealand (2nd), Qantas Airways (3rd), Rex Airlines (4th), Virgin Australia (5th), Jetstar Airways (6th), QantasLink (7th), Air Tahiti Nui (8th), Air Tahiti (9th) and Air Niugini (10th).

Hainan Airlines was named the Best Airline in China 2024. The Top 10 Best Airlines in China 2024 were China Southern Airlines (2nd), West Air (3rd), China Eastern Airlines (4th), Spring Airlines (5th), Tianjin Airlines (6th), Juneyao Air (7th), Air China (8th), Xiamen Airlines (9th) and Shenzhen Airlines (10th).
Mr. Zhu Tao, Chairman of Hainan Airlines said: “We are deeply honored to receive three prestigious awards at the 2024 World Airline Awards. Turkish Airlines was voted the Best Airline in Europe 2024. The Top 10 Best Airlines in Europe 2024 were Air France (2nd), Swiss International Air Lines (3rd), British Airways (4th), Iberia (5th), Virgin Atlantic (6th), Lufthansa (7th), Finnair (8th), KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (9th) and Austrian Airlines (10th).
Receiving the awards at the ceremony, Bilal Ekşi, CEO of Turkish Airlines stated: “We are delighted to receive these prestigious awards from Skytrax. Qatar Airways won the award for the Best Airline in the Middle East 2024. The Top 10 Best Airlines in the Middle East 2024 were Emirates (2nd), Etihad Airways (3rd), Saudia (4th), Oman Air (5th), Gulf Air (6th), Flynas (7th), flyDubai (8th), Kuwait Airways (9th) and Air Arabia (10th).

Air Astana was named the Best Airline in Central Asia & CIS 2024. The Top 10 Best Airlines in Central Asia & CIS 2024 were Azerbaijan Airlines (2nd), FlyArystan (3rd), Uzbekistan Airways (4th), Qazaq Air (5th), SCAT Airlines (6th), Ariana Afghan Airlines (7th), FLYONE (8th), HiSky (9th) and Uzbekistan Airways Express (10th).

Vistara was voted the Best Airline in India/South Asia 2024. The Top 10 Best Airlines in India/South Asia 2024 were IndiGo (2nd), Air India (3rd), SriLankan Airlines (4th), Akasa Air (5th), SpiceJet (6th), Maldivian (7th), Pakistan Int’l Airlines (8th), Air India Express (9th) and airblue (10th).

Delta Air Lines won the award for the Best Airline in North America 2024. The Top 10 Best Airlines in North America 2024 were Air Canada (2nd), United Airlines (3rd), Porter Airlines (4th), Air Transat (5th), Alaska Airlines (6th), WestJet (7th), jetBlue Airways (8th), American Airlines (9th) and Allegiant Air (10th).

LATAM was named the Best Airline in South America 2024. The Top 10 Best Airlines in South America 2024 were Azul Brazilian (2nd), SKY Airline (3rd), JetSMART Airlines (4th), Avianca (5th), Gol (6th), Aerolineas Argentinas (7th), StarPeru (8th), Easyfly (9th) and Flybondi (10th).
Copa Airlines was voted the Best Airline in Central America/Caribbean 2024. The Top 10 Best Airlines in Central America/Caribbean 2024 were Caribbean Airlines (2nd), Air Caraibes (3rd), Bahamasair (4th), interCaribbean (5th), Cayman Airways (6th), Bermudair (7th), Cubana (8th), Aruba Airlines (9th) and Surinam Airways (10th).
Air France won the award for the Best Airline in Western Europe 2024. The Top 10 Best Airlines in Western Europe 2024 were Swiss International Air Lines (2nd), British Airways (3rd), Virgin Atlantic (4th), Lufthansa (5th), KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (6th), Austrian Airlines (7th), Aer Lingus (8th), Transavia France (9th) and Ryanair (10th).
airBaltic was named the Best Airline in Eastern Europe 2024. The Top 10 Best Airlines in Eastern Europe 2024 were LOT Polish (2nd), Wizz Air (3rd), Air Serbia (4th), CSA Czech Airlines (5th), Croatia Airlines (6th), Georgian Airways (7th), TAROM (8th), Bulgaria Air (9th) and Air Montenegro (10th).

Finnair was voted the Best Airline in Northern Europe 2024. The Top 10 Best Airlines in Northern Europe 2024 were SAS Scandinavian (2nd), PLAY (3rd), Norse Atlantic Airways (4th), Norwegian (5th), Icelandair (6th), Atlantic Airways (7th), Air Greenland (8th), BRA (9th) and Widerøe (10th).

Turkish Airlines won the award for the Best Airline in Southern Europe 2024. The Top 10 Best Airlines in Southern Europe 2024 were Iberia (2nd), Aegean Airlines (3rd), Volotea (4th), Vueling Airlines (5th), Iberia Express (6th), SunExpress (7th), ITA Airways (8th), Air Dolomiti (9th) and Pegasus Airlines (10th).

About the 2024 World Airline Awards
The World Airline Awards are independent and impartial, introduced in 1999 to provide a customer satisfaction study that was truly global. Travellers across the world vote in the largest airline passenger satisfaction survey to determine the award winners.
All costs of the Survey and Awards event are paid by Skytrax, and airlines do not pay any entry or registration fee. There are no charges for use of the Award logos and results.
The online customer survey operated from September 2023 to May 2024. The customer survey is provided in English, French, Spanish, Russian, Japanese and Chinese. Over 100 customer nationalities participated in the 2023/2024 survey. Survey entries are screened to identify IP and user information, with all duplicate, suspect or ineligible entries deleted. More than 350 airlines are featured in the final Award results.
