STARLUX Airlines has been Certified as a 5-Star Airline by international air transport rating agency, Skytrax, following the latest in-depth audit evaluation.

STARLUX Airlines becomes one of only 11 airlines worldwide to be included in this exclusive 5-Star Airline group, with Skytrax completing the STARLUX Airlines audit assessments in 2025.

Commenting on this achievement, STARLUX Airlines CEO, Glenn Chai, who accepted the award in Paris, said: “Receiving the 5-Star Airline award is an honor and a tremendous encouragement for everyone at STARLUX. We launched operations in 2020, so reaching this milestone highlights our team’s resilience and passion. We are thrilled and deeply grateful for our passengers’ trust and the dedication of our team. STARLUX will continue expanding our network and raise the bar on safety and service, offering travelers around the world a warm and refined service in the sky.”

Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax said: “We are pleased to see STARLUX Airlines achieving this highest 5-Star Airline Rating in 2025, which is a fabulous achievement. A key determinant in awarding this 5-Star Airline status to STARLUX Airlines is the high level of quality consistency delivered to customers, with an excellent onboard product across First, Premium Economy, Business and Economy class, which combines with very efficient and sincere staff service.”

STARLUX Airlines has a very young fleet of aircraft, with an average age of just 2.8 years, comprising A321neo, A330neo, and A350-900 aircraft offering a consistent high quality product.

A 5-Star Airline rating places great importance on all aspects of onboard and airport cleanliness and presentation, and STARLUX Airlines are meeting a strong 5-Star standard in these areas. There was a very good consistency of onboard cleaning standards at the home base Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, and these high standards were being well applied at the many network airports checked.
